Places to visit

Lagoa is a small Algarve town well known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal.

Its location just 40 minutes from Faro and 20 minutes from Albufeira makes this location an excellent place to start a wine route. This wine route passes through some of the best known wineries and wine producers in the Algarve. The Wine Route we designed is about 60 km long and passes through several producers along the way.

Our proposal is to follow the EN 124 towards Silves and get to know a little of the Algarve inland.  Silves is  a small town in the Algarve countryside, well worth the visit. Known for the quality wines that are produced in the municipality, for its typical cuisine and for its Moorish Castle.

Just outside Lagoa, it is essential to visit and taste the wines at Quinta dos Vales and on the way to Silves we suggest a visit to Quinta do Francês and taste the wines that are produced here. We also suggest having lunch in one of the many traditional restaurants in Silves.

Leaving Silves, we left the EN124 and headed again towards Lagoa. Along the road, we will pass by several wineries, from which we highlight the Cabrita Wines and Quinta João Clara. and on the way back to Lagoa, pass by Quinta do Morgado.
